Dr. Stephen Scionti has been extensively trained in the technique of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. He has studied HIFU at International HIFU Centers in Bermuda, Nassau, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Toronto, Canada and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He received advanced training in London, England at London University Hospital training with Professor Mark Emberton. Dr. Scionti has received certification from the International HIFU Society.
Dr. Scionti has collaborated with leading medical treatment centers around the world to help perfect HIFU technology, research medical applications, and train urologists to perform HIFU. Additionally, Dr. Scionti is leading the effort to train American urologists in this therapy and serves as Training Course Director for USHIFU at several International HIFU Centers around the world.
Dr. Scionti has achieved global recognition for his experience, skill and groundbreaking clinical contributions in the field of image-guided prostate cancer ablation including HIFU.
