Dr. Stephen Scionti has been extensively trained in the technique of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. He has studied HIFU with Dr. George Suarez at the USHIFU international clinics in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Toronto, Canada and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He has received advanced training in London, England at London University Hospital training with Professor Mark Emberton. Dr. Scionti has received certification from the International HIFU Society. Dr. Scionti, working in conjunction with Dr. George Suarez, has taken a leading role in the development of HIFU training programs for American urologists and has worked extensively towards the refinement of HIFU techniques.
